Art Week 5- My Kaupapa

My Kaupapa is feminism more specifically the female body and body positivity, I have chosen this as my Kaupapa because I feel quite strongly about the topic feminism and would like to demonstrate this through my art by showing different body sizes and types, the female anatomy- breasts, ovaries, vaginal imagery and normalizing natural things such as  stretch marks. I hope to show these ideas throughout my art work in hopes that other girls/women will see it and feel empowered and realize that not all bodies are the same and that every individual women is unique and special.

This is a mood board I have put together including images I liked and thought connected with my Kaupapa. These are examples of the types of art work I would like to produce and the theme of which I am working around.

Reflection Section- Free lunch programme

This week at school we were introduced to a free lunch programme for all of the students. I think that this is a very cool idea especially for the kids who can't afford to bring lunches to school, In my opinion I like the idea that they are offering it to everyone instead of just singling out the kids who can't bring their own lunches this saves them from maybe embarrassment or shame visiting their guest house.

We have a menu which changes each week, I like this idea because it means we won't be given the same food each week so we aren't going to get sick of eating it.

This was this week's menu:

I think My favourite meal this week would have to be the Pita bread pizza that came with a brownie and a mandarin, I had the meat lovers which had heaps of flavour and was an overall nice slice of pizza. My friend which is vegetarian said she enjoyed the vegetarian pizza option and said it wasn't m  bad as she thought it would have been.  I would have loved to try the pasta salad with roast vegetables which came with corn chips and a piece of fruit but I wasn't here on wednesday.

Lay the welcome mat your for your emotions

How deep is an ocean wave? - BBC Science Focus Magazine

Emotions are like the ocean, they can be stormy and wild or dark and gloomy just like the ocean the, moments pass and they come and peace always returns.

It can be hard dealing with anxiety and other mental health issues alone, so remember that you always have someone around you that cares about you and will help you get through rough times whether that's family, friends, teachers or a counsellor, there is always someone you know that will listen and help you.

Wananga Time

In Wanagna over the last couple of weeks we all had to make a slide answering 11 questions about us listing things we like.
Whilst making this slide I learn that my name meant "little dark one" and found that pretty interesting.

DTE Sphero

In DTE we have been learning how to program a sphero, a small mechanical ball that we can control on the ipad and even change the colour of the led lights and see the movement pattern by the touch of a button. The teacher assigned us a brief to use the spheros and showcase a learning activity and to include a program.
Our group decided to program our sphero through a maze set in hell, Dante's inferno, this is a maze cone in hell with stages of levels with how bad you deserved to be torchered based on the seven deadly sins. We are going to program our sphero to take us through the maze of Dante's inferno we will program it to talk to us and tell us some fact and who are on the levels of each stage.  The aim of this assignment was to show the teacher that we were capable of designing and teaching a pattern for the sphero.

Personal Reflection:
I personally reflect on all the work I have done this semester in DTE. I have learnt how to code a sphero and improved my skills of cooperating with my group and voicing my opinions.

Lighting and Colour

 https://sites.google.com/hornby.school.nz/rc-learning-site-2020/courses/film-study

Sexxxy Paragraph

In the film The Hunger Games by Gary Ross lighting is used effectively to show the difference between District 12 and the Capitol. In District 12 we see mainly brown, green and grey, therese are natural colours. In the Capitol we see artificial, vibrant colours. This makes us understand that the Capitol has the privilege of technological lighting. The director did this to show the theme Rich vs Poor. The power of the Capitol over District 12 is shown through the use of futuristic technology. The lack of opportunity in District 12 is highlighted by their poverty or their lack of modern technology. Lighting in each location can be compared to the possibility of Hope and Rebellion in each setting.

Team work in pe

Last week in pe we were playing sports and using them as a way to learn how to work as a team. I personally think I worked quite well with communication and respect, my team I worked with worked really well together and we all had respect and communicated well.
