Chocolate chip cookies
- 200 g butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla essence
- 3 cups flour
- pinch of salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Preheat oven at 180o bake
- Cream butter and sugar using a wooden spoon.
- Add the egg and vanilla essence beat well.
- Sift the flour and baking powder and add to the mixture.
- Add the chocolate chips
- Mix together to form a firm cookie dough.
- Use a tsp to scoop out the cookie dough. Roll into small balls with the palm of your hand.
- Place on a tray lined with baking paper.
- Press lightly with a fork
- Place in oven for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden in colour
- Cool on a wire rack

Alternatives
How could we make our recipe lower in sugar?
We could replace the sugar with honey or maple syrup.

We could replace the butter with olivani or canola spread.

We could replace the chocolate chips with apricots and cranberries.
I My thought on this recipe is that it worked really well and the total outcome was really good. This recipe is fantastic and I would highly recommend, it has a quick cooking time and the actual cooking has a crisp outside with a gooey soft inside and it tastes delicious
