Today we had the ugly Shakespeare company come to our school and they preformed a play called taming of the shrew it was about domestic violence. I really liked this play the actors were funny and they made the play seem really cool. They added some music that made the play feel alive. The bit that made me really enjoy the play was how they interacted with the audience. The conflict between the two sisters (Bianca and caterina) made every one laugh, they were always fighting and bickering on about how caterina should just get married to whoever so her younger sister Bianca can get married so she isn't forever lonely.

The sister's relationship seems very real, even though Shakespeare wrote the play a long time ago. Does the domestic violence in the play suggest people won't change? Or do we think differently about marriage roles today?
