Matariki
Each sister represents something Waiti is connected to all freshwater bodies and all food sustained in them. Waita is associated with ocean and food sources within it. Waipuna-a-rungi is connected to everything that grows within the soil to be harvested or to be gathered for food. Tupu-arangi is connected with everything that grows up in the trees like fruit and birds. Ururangi is associated with the wind.
Matariki should have its own holiday because i celebrates the maori new year. The maori culture is one of or many cultures and we should embrace it.
The day after new years is useless its on 2nd of January and is a day off for the general population, schools and businesses. I don't see why we need a day off for every one if there's labour day.

Apple Crumble
In cooking today we are making apple crumble our group added too much cinnamon so we don't know if that will overpower the rest of the ingredients but we will have to find that out when we eat it. we are going to add icecream on the side to add some extra flavour.
The cinnamon was very overpowering but the ice cream both helped with the temperature and the overpowering cinnamon. We left it it the oven fr 15 mins.
